The A3 at Liss and the B3006 to Selborne
The A3 runs north to south past Liss and Greatham with junctions rather than turnings, which is a mercy — it means there is somewhere to come off if a tyre starts going down rather than a sudden decision to make at speed.
The B3006 heads west towards Selborne and the A325 runs north past Longmoor. Between them the lanes to Hawkley, Empshott and Blackmoor are narrow, steep in places and often carrying mud off the fields. Mud on a slope is the worst combination for jacking a car, and it is worth stopping fifty yards earlier on a clean, level stretch.

- Only with the site's agreement and a pass arranged in advance. It is a controlled military site and our driver will not be admitted on the day without it. If the vehicle can be brought outside the gate, that is far simpler for everyone.

- Move if you safely can. A jack needs firm level ground, and mud on a slope gives you neither. Fifty yards of clean tarmac makes the difference between a straightforward wheel change and a job we will refuse to do on safety grounds.
- Do you handle light commercials in this district?
- Yes. Vans and light commercial vehicles are a large part of what we fit along the A3 corridor. Give us the load rating and the size from the sidewall, because commercial tyres are specified differently from car tyres of the same dimensions.
