The A3100 and the A3 at Eashing

West of the town the A3 crosses at Eashing on a fast stretch with limited stopping. That is the one part of GU7 where we would ask you not to attempt anything yourself. Hurtmore and the lanes behind it are the opposite problem: quiet, unlit and easy to describe wrongly on the phone.

- Can you jack a car on a sloping street in Godalming?
- Only if it is safe to do so. We chock the wheels and work across the slope where the camber allows, but on a steep gradient we will ask you to move the car onto level ground first. A jack that slips on a hill is a serious injury, not an inconvenience.
- Do you work in the town centre during the day?
- We do, though loading restrictions limit where the van can stand. If your car is in a restricted stretch, we may work early or late, or ask you to move to a nearby car park. We will sort that out on the phone.
