Mobile tyres and recovery in KT11 (Cobham)
This is the district our vans set off from. Swift is based in Cobham, so KT11 is the ground we know street by street — Between Streets and the High Street, the Portsmouth Road frontages at the Fairmile, and the lanes dropping away towards Downside and the Tilt.

The A3, the M25 and Cobham Services
Two fast roads shape this district. The A3 runs along the top of it past Painshill Park and the Silvermere turning, and the M25 crosses underneath between Junction 9 and Junction 10, with Cobham Services sitting on the stretch between the two.
A tyre failure on either of those is a different job from a flat on a drive. The vehicle has to be made safe before a single nut is loosened, and where there is any choice we will fit on a slip road or at the services rather than beside a running lane. Closer in, the A245 Stoke Road and the A307 through the Fairmile carry the everyday traffic, and the school run around Cobham & Stoke d'Abernon station is where we pick up most of the slow punctures.

- Are you genuinely based in Cobham?
- Yes. Swift works out of Cobham and KT11 is the district our drivers know best. We are a mobile operation rather than a garage, so there is no counter to queue at. We come to the driveway, the office car park or the roadside instead.
- Can you attend Cobham Services on the M25?
- We do attend the services between Junctions 9 and 10. Tell us which side you are parked on when you call, because the two halves are separate sites and crossing between them means rejoining the motorway and coming back round.
- My car is stuck on a narrow lane near Downside.
- That is usually workable. The lanes around Downside and the Tilt have very little verge, so pull in as far as the ground allows and leave your hazards on. If there is nowhere safe for us to kneel beside the car, we will say so and talk you through recovery instead.
