Mobile tyres and recovery in KT13 (Weybridge and Brooklands)
Few districts anywhere are as bound up with cars as this one. The banked circuit at Brooklands has been part of Weybridge for over a century, the museum and Mercedes-Benz World sit on the same ground, and the business park and retail park have grown up around them.
That mix decides the work. We fit a lot of low-profile and run-flat tyres here, a lot of large-diameter wheels, and a fair number of locking nuts that have seized because the wheels have not been off since the car was new.
The A317, the A245 and the Brooklands approaches
The A245 Byfleet Road runs along the southern edge past Brooklands, and the A317 carries traffic north through Weybridge. Between them sits a knot of roundabouts serving the retail park, the business park and the college, and they are busy from early morning.
St George's Hill is the opposite problem: private roads, gates, and no through route, so we need the gate code or a name to give at the entrance. Oatlands sits on the hill with steep, narrow residential streets where a jack needs level ground and sometimes that means moving the car ten feet before we start.

Questions we get asked about KT13
- Do you fit run-flat tyres in Weybridge?
- Yes. Run-flats need a machine that can handle a stiff sidewall without damaging the bead, and we carry the kit for it. Give us the size and the make when you call, since run-flat stock is less commonly held than standard sizes and may need ordering in.
- Can you get onto St George's Hill?
- We can, but the estate roads are private and the gate is staffed. Let the gatehouse know a tyre fitter is coming, or give us the name and address they will be expecting, otherwise our driver will be turned around at the barrier.
- The locking wheel nut key is missing from my car.
- That is one of the more common calls we get in this district. We carry removal tools that grip and back out a locking nut without the key. It takes longer than a straightforward change, so allow extra time and mention it when you first ring.
