The A259 through Emsworth and the A27

The A259 runs east to west through the top of the town and is the everyday road here, with the A27 a mile north carrying the through traffic at speed. The A27 is not a road to stop on; the A259 mostly is, if you can find a side turning.

Down towards the harbour the streets get narrow and the parking gets tight, and the quayside spaces flood on a high spring tide. If your car is parked down there and the tide is coming, that is the more urgent problem and we will say so.
