The A259 along the coast

The A259 is the spine of this district, running behind the seafront and linking Bognor Regis east and west. It is a busy single carriageway with traffic lights, parked cars and side turnings, and in summer it queues for most of the day.

Behind it the residential grid at Aldwick, Rose Green and North Bersted is wide and easy to work in. Pagham and Nyetimber sit at the end of lanes towards the harbour, quieter but with poor lighting and few road signs. The seafront itself is the hardest place for us to work simply because there is nowhere legal to leave a van.
